    ISO / IAF / ILAC Communique on ISO 15189 accreditation
    An updated version of the ISO/IAF/ILAC communiqué on ISO 15189 accreditation is now
    available from here under the ISO – IAF – ILAC MoU section.  This communiqué has been
    updated to reflect the 2012 edition of ISO 15189 that is now in widespread use.

    Why Use an Accredited Certification Body
    Selecting the right organisation to carry out your certification can be fraught with unknowns.
    Choosing a certification body that has been accredited by an accreditation body that is a signatory
    to the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) e.g. KENAS, has proved that it complies with
    best practice. It is competent to deliver a consistently reliable and impartial service which meets

    Self-Certification is not a real thing
    Accreditors’ logos are always displayed on the certificate along with the registrars’
    own logo. Absence of an accrediting body’s logo is an indication that the certificate
    has been issued by an organization that lacks accreditation and will probably not be
    recognized. That means that all the money you’ve invested in the actual assessment
    (on-site audit, travel expenses, etc.) has been wasted. Read more here:
